More about CASA

Our New 2012 Campaign:
I am for the child who has been taken away from his parents for his own safety. I am for the child who is in her fifth, sixth, or seventh foster home. I am for the child who has never been told he is loved, or smart, or strong. I am for the child who believes in her heart that no one cares. I am a CASA Volunteer – Court Appointed Special Advocate Who am I? I am YOU.

Our Mission:
CASA’s mission is to speak up for an find permanent homes for foster children in crisis throughout Nueces, San Patricio and Aransas Counties.  In order to accomplish this, we need to recruit and train an additional 200-250 volunteers.  With your help, we can help ease the pain for our foster children and offer them a brighter future!

Who can be a volunteer:
Court Appointed Special Advocates are ordinary people who are committed to doing what is best for a child.  The people who give their time to advocate for children in court come from many walks of life.  Being a CASA volunteer does not require any special education or background, simply the desire to help abused and neglected children find safe, permanent homes.  Our training classes will prepare you to make a  lasting difference by becoming the voice of a child in court.

We are Jim and Lu and we are for the Child!
